Heavitree United booked their place in the last 32 of the Devon Senior Cup on Saturday with a hard-fought 1–0 victory away to Feniton 2nds.

The Heavies produced an impressive first-half performance, dominating possession and creating numerous opportunities. After striking the crossbar on three occasions, Heavitree finally made the breakthrough when Pearce headed home from a Way corner to give the visitors a deserved lead going into the interval.

The second half proved a more difficult affair, with the game becoming increasingly scrappy as Heavitree struggled to maintain the rhythm and control of the opening 45 minutes. Despite creating further chances, the Heavies were unable to extend their advantage, but held firm to secure the victory and progress to the next round.

With a place in the last 32 secured, attention now turns to another cup competition as Heavitree travel to Starcross Dons 1sts in the League Bill Slee Cup this Saturday, 17 October, with a 2.30pm kick-off.

The Heavies will be hoping to build on Saturday’s result and keep their cup momentum going.
